Mk1 escort gt carb flooding dilemas
Yes folks the GT has ground to a halt, this time its the float bowl, made of brass its now a brass tea bag, soaking up loads of fuel and refusing to do its job properly.
Had it soldered up at a local shop , who didnt charge me , nd now i know why, its still soaking up fuel.
Looking like a motorcycle one may have to adapted.

Escort Mk1 Brown Bomber
Escort mk1 gt replica in the making.
Swapped the carb on the Escort Mk1 the other day and went for a run over to see marks escort in the bodyshop.
It ran ok then one of the plugs gave out,swapped a new one and it ran ok again, same day it got filled up with gasohol, which left me with an overflowing carb.
Done something to the float level or cut off valve inside float chamber.
Initial plans for this escort is a 1300gt replica with oval lights and gt spec 1.3 crossflow.
Its still running the original spec trim 100%, think it was a super.
Its currently wearing 195 50 13 s on 7 inch steels, next step is a drop in ride height.

Ford Escort mk1 restored in Thailand
Went over to see my old green escort sold to Mark a few months ago.
Its looking really nice in Vista orange and should be on the road in a month or so.
Mark had some pics of the mexico arches and the bodyshop did a good job of fabricated them .
Cant wait too see it on the road...
